أحيت هيئة الثقافة والفن واتحاد فناني الجزيرة اليوم الأربعاء 9 آذار/مارس2022، الذكرى الثالثة والثلاثين لرحيل القامة الفنية الكردية الكبيرة محمد شيخو، وذلك خلال من حفل فني في مركز محمد شيخو للثقافة والفن في مدينة قامشلو.
بدء الحفل بالوقوف دقيقة صمت إجلالاً لأراوح الشهداء تلاها كلمة للفنان بهاء شيخو شقيق الفنان الراحل محمد شيخو، تحدث فيها عن شخصية محمد شيخو وعن حياته، التي قضاها في خدمة الشعب الكردي والثقافة الكردية.
وتحدث شقيق الفنان الراحل أيضاً عن بعض المواقف التي حصلت معه هو وشقيقه عندما كانوا في السجن، وبالرغم من ملاحقته من قبل الكثير من الأجهزة الأمنية إلا أنه لم يتوقف عن أغانيه التي كانت تعبر عن آلام الشعب الكردي.
هذا وحضر الحفل العديد من الشخصيات السياسية والفنية، وقدمت فرقة مركز محمد شيخو للثقافة والفن عدة أغاني من التي غناها محمد شيخو، إضافةً إلى غناء عدد من الفنانين عدة أغاني أيضاً من التي غناها الفنان محمد شيخو.
ويشار إلى أن الفنان محمد شيخو تعرض لنوبةٍ قلبية في 6 آذار 1989 نقل على إثرها إلى أحد مشافي قامشلو، ليفارق الحياة بتاريخ 9 آذار من العام نفسه، تاركاً خلفه إرثًا من الأغاني بلغ عددها 120 أغنية.
