بيان إلى الرأي العام ومنظمات حماية الصحفيين
في ظل التدهور الخطير للأوضاع في شمال وشرق سوريا، وما تشهده المنطقة من تصعيد عسكري تقوده تشكيلات مسلّحة منضوية شكليًا تحت ما يُسمّى بـ«وزارة الدفاع السورية»، والتي ثبت تورّط العشرات من عناصرها سابقًا في صفوف تنظيم «داعش» الإرهابي، تتكشف اليوم صورة قاتمة لانتهاكات جسيمة تهدد المدنيين والصحفيين على حد سواء.
إن هذه الفصائل المنفلتة لا تلتزم بأي من القوانين أو المواثيق الدولية التي تكفل حماية المدنيين والأسرى، ولا تحترم أبسط قواعد العمل الصحفي، بل تمارس سياسة الترهيب والتعتيم الممنهج.
ومع اشتداد المعارك ومحاصرة مدينة كوباني، أقدمت هذه القوات على قطع التيار الكهربائي وخدمات الإنترنت بشكل كامل، وفرض حصار خانق على مدينة كانت في طليعة من حارب الإرهاب وقدّم آلاف الضحايا دفاعًا عن الإنسانية. إن هذا الحصار لا يستهدف فقط المدنيين، بل يهدف بشكل مباشر إلى خنق الحقيقة ومنع تدفق المعلومات، وفرض صمت قسري على ما يجري داخل المدينة.
إننا في مؤسسة Nûdem الإعلامية ندين بأشد العبارات هذا الحصار الجائر، ونعتبر قطع الإنترنت ومنع تداول المعلومة جريمة مكتملة الأركان، تُنذر بوقوع كارثة إنسانية وتفتح الباب أمام ارتكاب انتهاكات جسيمة بعيدًا عن أعين العالم.
وعليه، نحمّل الجهات المسؤولة كامل المسؤولية عن سلامة المدنيين والصحفيين، ونطالب المجتمع الدولي، ومنظمات حقوق الإنسان، ومنظمات حماية الصحفيين، بتحمّل مسؤولياتهم الأخلاقية والقانونية، والتدخل العاجل لوقف هذه الممارسات القمعية، وضمان حرية الإعلام وحماية المدنيين في كوباني وسائر مناطق شمال وشرق سوريا.

Statement to Public Opinion and
Organizations for the Protection of Journalists
Amid the grave deterioration of the situation in northeastern Syria, and the military escalation led by armed formations nominally operating under the so-called “Syrian Ministry of Defense,” dozens of whose members have been proven to have previously belonged to the terrorist organization ISIS, a bleak picture of serious violations is unfolding—threatening civilians and journalists alike.
These undisciplined factions show no regard for international laws and conventions that guarantee the protection of civilians, prisoners, and journalists. Instead, they pursue a policy of intimidation and systematic blackout, violating the most basic principles of humanitarian and journalistic work.
As the fighting intensifies and the city of Kobani comes under siege, these forces have cut off electricity and completely shut down internet services, imposing a suffocating blockade on a city that stood at the forefront of the fight against terrorism and sacrificed thousands of lives in defense of humanity. This siege does not only target civilians; it is a deliberate attempt to silence the truth, obstruct the flow of information, and impose a forced silence on what is happening inside the city.
We, at Nûdem Media Foundation, strongly condemn this unjust siege and consider the shutdown of internet services and the suppression of information a full-fledged crime that signals an impending humanitarian catastrophe and paves the way for grave violations away from the eyes of the world.
Accordingly, we hold the responsible parties fully accountable for the safety of civilians and journalists, and we call on the international community, human rights organizations, and organizations dedicated to the protection of journalists to uphold their moral and legal responsibilities and intervene urgently to put an end to these repressive practices, ensure media freedom, and protect civilians in Kobani and across northeastern Syria.
